Almond Milk is the most popular plant-based milk that has the creamy consistency and good amount of natural sweetness. Almond milk is the rick source of healthy fats such as monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats as well good amount of protein, fiber and vitamin E. It also has magnesium, calcium and potassium.
Soybeans are the source of Soy milk. This is also a plant-based milk variety which has a high level of soy protein and calcium but it is less nutrient-rich than many other varieties of milk. It is slightly thin and watery.
Rice milk is derived from rice mixed with water. It has very low levels of allergens and no lactose. You find no fat or cholesterol in the rice milk. People struggling with cardiovascular issues or high blood pressure problem can drink rice milk as it provides a good amount of vitamin E and D.
Hemp milk is basically derived from hemp plant and this is a type of milk which is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. But hemp milk has a lower level of protein than cow’s or soy milk. The hemp milk’s flavor is strong and has antioxidant content along with other unique nutrients in it.
Oat milk offers more proteins than hemp milk. It is a blend of cooked oats and water. It has no fat or cholesterol and has watery consistency and a milder flavor than many other types of milk.
Coconut milk is very well known to everyone. This is highly rich and blended with the flesh of a coconut with water and then straining the resultant liquid. It is packed with calories and is quite sweet. But, there’s high level of fat in coconut milk and this milk may not help you in losing your weight.
Cow milk is the traditional form of milk which is high in calcium, vitamin D and protein, certain fats and many more.
Goat milk offers more calcium, vitamin B6 and vitamin A than cow’s milk. But, this is quite earthy in flavor that you might not to drink it but you have to for good results.
Some forms of milk have the lactose removed for those with lactose intolerance, but other nutrient levels remain equal.
