Rana In Another Prestigious Movie!
With Baahubali, not just the director Rajamouli and lead actor Prabhas but the antagonist Rana Daggubati also attained pan-India appreciation. The Tollywood hunk who previously had the experience of working in Bollywood and Kollywood film is gearing up to scale new heights by making his debut in Hollywood.
If the reports are to be believed, the Ghazi actor will be part of the film that’s based a steamer which sank into water near to Mangrol coast while moving from Mandvi to Mumbai in 1888 (November 8th). The incident which happened due to a massive cyclone at Saurashtra in Gujarat is popularly referred to as ‘Titanic of Gujarat’.
Now, almost 129 years later, filmmaker Dhwanil Mehta has planned to platform the shipping tragedy in the Hollywood arena. A recce is currently underway and actor Rana also visited London to meet the film unit. Scheduled to hit floors in 2018, the film based on a real incident will have Rana Daggubati playing scientist’ role. The makers are planning to make it in Hindi with English dialogues, making it viewable to Hollywood audiences as well.
However, an official announcement in this regard is yet to be made and Rana is also tight-lipped about this project. The film is tentatively titled as ‘Whistle: Mystery of the Phantom Ship’.
