A human body has up to 70 percent of water and in fact, researchers say that one needs to drink more water to stay hydrated and keep the body healthy. Generally, it is good to drink eight glasses of water a day to maintain the fluid balance in the body. Drinking water will help in digestion, transport of nutrients and regulates your body temperature. Now, according to Ayurveda, there are few more guidelines in the way to drink water. Here are the tips from Ayurveda to drink water in right way.
Do not gulp down your water
Never ever gulp down water. It is important to drink in small sips and slowly. Don’t drink a large quantity of water and gulp down.

Never stay thirsty
This is very much important to put your body safe every time. Always identify when your body signals that you are thirsty. Dark urine is the indicator to tell this. Also, you may have chapped lips if your body is dehydrated. Drink water to rehydrate your body.

Don’t drink water in hurry
Generally, we rush and drink water. But never do that. When you are drinking water, relax-sit at a place and drink water. Make this as a practice. This will keep your nervous system and your muscles more relaxed, aiding in digestion. When you stand and drink water in hurry, this may disrupt your body’s fluid balance. This can result in increased risk of fluid accumulation in the joints, leading to arthritis.

Drink lukewarm water
Try to drink lukewarm water instead of drinking chilled water. It will help in easy digestion, relieve pain and bloating, aid in weight loss and improves metabolism. Experts say that drinking tepid water will keep your arteries clear and control the level of cholesterol in your body.

Drink water in morning
The best time to drink water is early morning. Drink large volume of water on an empty stomach so that it will help in flushing out the toxins from your body and prevent many diseases. It also clears intestine and kidneys. Make a practice to drink two cups of water and then increase the quantity day-by-day. It is good if you can add few drops of lemon juice in it.
