Soon, Instagram Stories Can Be Turned To WhatsApp Status

Facebook is testing another feature which will let you share your Instagram stories on WhatsApp status directly. Currently, if you are an Instagram user, you should know that the app already lets you share the Insta stories as Facebook stories. Very soon, you will be able to share the Insta stories on WhatsApp as well – which will appear on the status bar – and disappear after 24 hours.

The social media giant — Facebook is reportedly running a small test for the time being and is allowing users to share their Instagram stories as WhatsApp status. As mentioned, the feature is currently under works and is available only to select users. The official roll out of the feature may happen soon, however, the timeline of the rollout hasn’t been decided yet.

With this feature, Facebook is basically trying to expand its user base and enhance customer experience. This new feature will let users post decorated photos, videos, and GIFs on WhatsApp. However, much like the Instagram stories – the WhatsApp status will disappear after 24 hours.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced that both Instagram Stories and WhatsApp Status have around 300 million daily active users currently and the number is only on the rise.

Recently, Facebook rolled out another feature to help you discover photos uploaded by friend and family who may have forgotten to tag you. The social media giant is basically using facial recognition technology to help you find photos you’re not tagged in. This feature also helps you know when others might be using your image as their profile picture.
