This feature will work within seven minutes from when the message is been sent. However, there’s a bug in it, which lets the user delete it after the specific time frame of 7 minutes. The bug will allow the user to delete the sent messages for up to a maximum of seven days.

Here are the steps to make use of this bug:

Step 2: Now tap on Apps -> Whatsapp -> tap on Force Stop

Step 3: Once you are over with it, go to the settings again and disable the automatic Date & time update.

Step 4: Now change both date and time on your smartphone to the time, when you sent the sent the message. If you are not sure about it, you can scroll the chat till it shows you the date and time on it.

Step 5: Once done, you can delete the message by holding on to the message for few seconds, where you will see two options ‘Delete For Me’ and ‘Delete For Everyone’.
